PerfectlyParis Rental Policies and Terms

๐Ÿ“ Reservations and Payments

To confirm your reservation at one of our furnished Paris apartments, a 50% deposit is required. Payments are made directly to the property owner, not to PerfectlyParis.

  • For reservations made less than 60 days before arrival, full payment is preferred.
  • For long-term stays, we request payment of the first month's rent, the last month's rent, and the security deposit.

 

We accept various payment methods, including credit card payments via our secure online server at PayPal.com* or international bank transfer.

*PayPal Supplement: Due to the processing costs of PayPal payments, a 5% supplement will be added. **We recommend services like Wise.com, which often offer reasonable exchange rates and quick transfer times.

Please note our first-come, first-served reservation policy. Once we receive your signed rental agreement, we will hold the apartment for a maximum of 48 hours to allow you to arrange the deposit. If we have not received confirmation of your deposit within 48 hours, your reserved dates may be released.

Before submitting a rental agreement, you must first have written (email) confirmation that the apartment is available for your desired dates.

By booking one of our furnished Paris apartments, you agree to the Terms and Conditions on our website, the Policies page, and the rental agreement.


๐Ÿ”‘ Check-in and Check-out

You may check in or check out on any day of the week.

  • Standard Check-in Time: 16:00 (4:00 PM)
  • Standard Check-out Time: 10:00 (10:00 AM)

 

Flexibility and Surcharges

  • Early Check-in: To guarantee an arrival before 16:00, it may be necessary to reserve and pay for the preceding night. If the apartment is free on your arrival day, we will try to be flexible with the check-in time.
  • Late/Early Fee: A €60 surcharge applies to check-ins or check-outs scheduled before 8:30 or after 20:30 (8:30 PM). This fee must be paid in cash (Euros) directly to your greeter upon arrival.

 

Calendar Month Rentals (Long-Term)

For apartments rented on a calendar month basis, please note that check-in is strictly on the first day of the month, and check-out is on the last day of the month.


๐Ÿ’ฐ Security Deposit

Deposit Amount and Payment

The security deposit ranges from €500 to €1,000 for short to medium stays, and is the equivalent of one month's rent for long stays.

Payment Method: We do not accept cash (Euros) for the security deposit.

Damage and Responsibility

While damage is rare, Renters are required to replace or pay for any items broken or damaged during their stay. Please contact us immediately should an issue arise.

The security deposit does not limit the Renter's financial responsibility for damage or deterioration to the apartment that exceeds the deposit amount.

Potential Deductions

The deposit may be used to cover the following expenses:

  • Long-distance telephone calls not covered by the apartment's phone plan.
  • The cost of lost keys and/or damage to locks.
  • Supplementary cleaning costs (if the apartment is not left in a reasonably tidy condition).

 

Key Misplacement: Do not leave keys in the back of the door inside the apartment. If this prevents access and requires a locksmith, you will be responsible for all associated charges.

Deposit Return

Provided all terms are met and the apartment is in order upon your departure, the security deposit will be returned within 14 days of check-out.


๐Ÿงผ Cleaning and Linen Service

The cost of the final cleaning service is included in your total rental price. The apartment is professionally cleaned before your arrival and after your departure.

  • Should you require an interim cleaning or linen/towel change during your stay, this service can be arranged for an additional charge.

 

Security Deposit Deduction

If the apartment is not left in a reasonable and tidy condition upon departure, we reserve the right to deduct supplementary cleaning charges from your security deposit (as detailed above).


Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your reservation, our policy is as follows:

  • 60 days or more prior to arrival: You will receive a refund equal to 80% of the total rental price, less a non-refundable €100 administration fee.
  • Less than 60 days prior to arrival: We will attempt to re-rent the reserved dates. If we are successful, you will receive a refund equal to 80% of the total rental price, less the €100 administration fee.
  • Early Departure: If you vacate the apartment before the scheduled end date of your stay, no refund will be provided for any unused rental payments.

 

We strongly recommend obtaining travel cancellation insurance. If you do not have a preferred provider, our partners at ADAR can offer coverage options.


๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Insurance and Legal Liability

Mandatory French Insurance

French law requires that all renters secure their own multi-risk home insurance (assurance habitation). Standard tenant liability insurance is generally insufficient for the duration of your stay.

Disclaimer of Liability

PerfectlyParis and the property Owners accept no responsibility for direct or indirect harm, theft, or damage to individuals or personal belongings. All personal valuables left at the property are done so entirely at your own risk. While all reasonable measures are taken to secure the property, Renters are responsible for taking proper precautions against theft and burglary.

Indemnification

Renters agree to indemnify and hold harmless PerfectlyParis and the Owner/Owner's representative against all costs, direct or indirect damages, or liability resulting from any act or omission by the Renters in connection with their rental.

Limitation of Liability

The aggregate liability of PerfectlyParis and the Owner for any claims or damages arising from this rental agreement (excluding cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct) shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by the Renter for this engagement.

  • Statute of Limitations: Any legal action related to this rental agreement must be brought within six (6) months of the cause of action accruing, except for non-payment, which has a one (1) year limitation.

 

Travel Cancellation Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance. We cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred due to the cancellation of your trip, regardless of the reason.

๐Ÿ  Miscellaneous and Noise Expectations

Unavailability

In the rare event the apartment you reserved becomes unavailable for your dates, we reserve the right to provide you with suitable alternative accommodations.

Construction and Disruptions

  • Building-Scheduled Work: If construction scheduled by the building management is taking place, we are usually notified in advance and will attempt to relocate you to suitable alternative accommodations before your arrival.
  • Individual Resident Work: We are not notified of work conducted by individual residents and cannot be held responsible for noise or disruption caused by such private renovations. If this occurs, we will do our best to find alternative accommodations, though it may not always be possible, and additional costs may apply.
  • French Renovation Hours: Under La Code de la Santé Publique (Article R 1334-36), permitted renovation hours are 7:00 to 17:00, Monday through Saturday. Emergency work may occur outside of these hours.

 

Residential Noise

Please remember that you are renting an apartment in a residential Parisian building, and you may hear the normal noise of neighbours (e.g., footsteps, everyday conversation) who live and work in the city.

Excessive Noise/Disturbance

Excessive noise is rare. If a neighbour causes a disturbance after 22:00 (10:00 PM), the proper course of action is for you to politely ask them to reduce the noise level.

Commitment to Privacy

PerfectlyParis will not share or release any of your personal details to a third party without your express, prior consent.

We strictly do not redistribute your name, address, telephone number, or email address. The details you provide are primarily used for processing your booking and to gather anonymised statistical data for our website.

Payment Security

When using a credit card for payments through PayPal, please note that we do not have access to your credit card details; this information is securely maintained by PayPal.

Testimonial/Contact Request

We may contact you periodically via email to ask if you are willing to converse with a prospective guest about your stay. You are under no obligation to agree to this request.


๐Ÿ“œ Rental Agreement and Booking Confirmation

Once you email us with your requested dates, we will send you the rental agreement and detailed instructions on how to finalise your booking.

  • Pre-requisite: Before submitting the signed agreement, you must have written (email) confirmation that the apartment is available for your desired dates.
  • Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit payment and proof of that payment forwarded to PerfectlyParis.

 

Acceptance of Terms: By booking one of our apartments, you agree to all Terms and Conditions outlined on our website, the Policies page, and within the signed rental agreement.
