Tranquility in the Eighth

Our Paris furnished apartment is on the fourth floor (fifth American floor) of a beautiful mid-nineteenth-century Haussmannian building. The apartment gets a lot of natural daylight and is very quiet. We have kept the classic French details such as mouldings, marble fireplace and herring-bone parquet floors, comfortably furnished with modern French and Asian furniture.

The living room has a flat-screen TV with broadband cable (including CNN) plus a multi-region DVD player and a binder of movies. For those who need to stay 'plugged in', the apartment includes a new iMac computer with Microsoft Office. There is also a wi-fi broadband internet connection that you can access from your laptop. We have stocked the apartment with several novels and French-themed books.

The dining room and living room are contiguous, with beautiful views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The dining table can comfortably accommodate six people if you have guests visiting you. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, cookware and tableware, including a combination washing machine/dryer. It has been completely renovated and modernised since the photos were taken.

There is a lot of closet and storage space for your clothes and other belongings throughout this apartment. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds. The main bedroom with Wedgwood-blue walls has a large, queen-size bed.
