Rental Terms, Policies & Privacy

Booking Deposit

To confirm your reservation at one of our Paris vacation apartments, a 50% deposit is required. Payments shall be made directly to the owner and not to PerfectlyParis. If you reserve less than 60 days prior to your arrival, we prefer payment in full.

We accept various methods of payment, including credit cards through an online, secure server at PayPal.com or through bank transfer.

Please note that we have a first come, first serve reservations policy. If you have sent us your rental agreement, we will hold your Paris holiday let for a maximum of 48 hours to allow you time to sort out your deposit. If we have not heard from you within 48 hours, your dates may be released.

Prior to submitting an agreement to us, you must have written confirmation by e-mail that the Paris holiday let you wish to book is available for your dates.

By engaging in the rental of one of our Paris vacation apartments, you agree to the terms and conditions on our website, the Policies page and in our rental agreement.

Cancellation

We hope that you do not cancel, but if you do, our policy is as follows:

If you give less than 60 days notice, we will try to rent the dates we blocked for you. If we are successful, we will send you an 80% refund of the total rental price, less our 100 Euro administration fee.

If you leave an apartment prior to the end of your stay, we cannot refund any of your rental paid.

We recommend that you have cancellation insurance. If you do not have a company you work with, insurance can be provided by our partners at ADAR.

Check In/Out

You may check in/out any day of the week. Times are as follows:

In order to guarantee an early arrival (prior to 16:00), it may be necessary to reserve and pay for the preceding night. If, however, we do not have someone arriving or departing on the same day as you, we are very flexible with the check in times.

For check in/out before 8:30 or after 20:30, special arrangements will need to be made and there is a charge of 50 Euros. This fee should be paid in Euros/cash only directly to your greeter when you arrive at your Paris vacation apartment.

If you have chosen to stay in one of our places that rent by the calendar month, please note that check in is on the first day of the month and check out is on the last day of the month.

Cleaning & Linen/Towel Usage

Your Paris vacation apartment is cleaned before you arrive and after you leave without an additional fee. For stays shorter than a week, additional charges may apply. For stays of more than 6 weeks, a complementary monthly clean will be done. If your Paris holiday let is not left in a reasonable state, we reserve the right to deduct additional cleaning charges from your security deposit as mentioned below. For a stay of a week, you will be provided with one set of sheets per bed booked as well as one set of towels (one large and one small) per person. Should you require extra towels or sheets, there is an additional charge and you must request this in advance to your arrival in Paris. Whether stated or not on the web page for your Paris vacation apartment, there is a supplement of 100 Euros for the use of the sofa bed at any of our places. This amount is per stay and not per night.

Insurance

In event of theft or damage to individuals or personal belongings, PerfectlyParis and the Owners undertake no responsibility whatsoever for direct or indirect harm suffered. All valuables left at the property are done so at your own risk. All measures haven been taken to ensure that the rental property is secure, but it is your responsibility to make sure proper precaution is taken against theft and burglary.

It is advised that you take your own multi-risk home insurance as tenant liability insurance will not be enough should a problem arise.

In addition, Renters agrees to indemnify PerfectlyParis, Owner or Owner's representative, for all costs, direct or indirect damages, punitive damages or other liability incurred by PerfectlyParis, Owner, or Owner's representative, resulting from any act or omission by Renters in connection with their rental.

Renters agrees that PerfectlyParis and Owner's liability for all claims, of any kind, arising out of this engagement shall be limited to the total fees paid by Renter to PerfectlyParis on this engagement.

No action, regardless of form, relating to the Rental Agreement or any associated engagement or service, may be brought by either party more than six months after the cause of action has accrued, except that an action for non-payment may be brought not later than one year following the date of the last payment due to the party bringing such action.

The parties agree that in no event shall either party's aggregate liability hereunder for any cause arising out of or related to such Party's performance or non-performance, monetary claim or legal action, exceed the amount of the fees paid hereunder under the particular rental agreement, excluding gross negligence or willful misconduct.

We very strongly recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance for your trip as one never knows when an emergency can arise and we cannot be held responsible in any way regardless of the reason you must cancel.

Minimum Rental Periods

The minimum rental periods for each of our Paris vacation apartments are as stated on their individual listings. During the period around Christmas and New Year's Eve, we request a minimum stay of 7 nights at all of our places.

From time to time, depending on availability or gaps between bookings, we may be able to accommodate you for a stay less than the minimum period. We do not, however, ever rent out any of our places for 1 or 2 nights only due to the fixed charges the owners have for linen, cleaning, greeters and things related to the maintenance/upkeep of their flat.

Miscellaneous & Noise

In the rare occasion that the Paris vacation apartment you reserved becomes unavailable for your dates, we reserve the right to provide you with suitable alternative accommodations.

If building construction is going on at the Paris holiday let you have booked, we will attempt to place you elsewhere as soon as possible. Work by the building itself is usually scheduled in advance. As a result, we generally have adequate time to place you elsewhere prior to your arrival in Paris.

If there is other work in the building that we are aware of (such as painting, elevator work, etc.), we will attempt to notify you in advance so you will know before you arrive but this is not always possible.

In the case of work being done by individual residents, we are unable to know in advance and cannot be held responsible for any noise or disruption in the building. Should the latter occur, we will do our best to find you alternate accommodations but it may not be possible in every instance and additional costs may apply.

In France, under 'La code de la sante publique' in article R 1334-36 work hours for renovations can happen from 7:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon, Monday through Saturday. If emergency work is being done, it can also happen outside of these hours.

It is important to realise that renting a Paris vacation apartment is not the same as renting a hotel room. You are staying around regular people who live and work in Paris. As a result, you may hear the noise of someone walking above you or other noises related to regular residents. For the most part, there is rarely excessive noise but it can happen from time to time that someone may have a party or friends over later than normal. In this case, the polite thing to do after 22:00 is to knock on the neighbour's door and ask them nicely to be a bit quieter.

PerfectlyParis is a collection of independent owners. Some owners manange their own Paris holiday lets and others are managed by some of our colleagues and partners. If the Paris vacation apartment you are interested in booking is not managed by PerfectlyParis, please be sure to verify their policies. They may differ slightly from that of PerfectlyParis.

Privacy Statement

Your privacy is very important to us. As a result, PerfectlyParis will not release any of your personal details to a third party without your prior approval. We do not redistribute your name, address, telephone number, e-mail contact to anyone else and we only use the details you have provided us to gather statistical information for our website.

If you have opted to use a credit card for any payments, we do not have access to these details and the information remains strictly with PayPal.

We may, however, contact you from time to time if someone would like to converse with a previous guest. If this happens, we will email you first to see if you are interested and willing to provide comments from your stay in Paris and at a PerfectlyParis vacation apartment. Bear in mind that you are under no obligation to agree to speak or email with someone else, even if we request you to do so.

Rental Agreement

We will send you a link to the rental agreement for your Paris vacation apartment with additional information on how to book your PerfectlyParis holiday let once you email us with your requested dates.

Prior to submitting an agreement to us, you must have written confirmation by email that the apartment you wish to book is available for the time you wish.

Please remember that a booking is not considered confirmed until a 50% deposit is paid and proof of payment is forwarded to PerfectlyParis.

By engaging in a rental of one of our Paris vacation apartments, you agree to the terms and conditions on our website, this Policies page and in our rental agreement.

Security Deposit

All our apartments require a security deposit in the amount of 200 Euros (Note: we do not accept cash/euros for a security deposit). This can be paid with a cheque or by credit card through PayPal.com. If you choose to pay a deposit by credit card, it must be done online with PayPal.com just prior to your arrival.

You can pay your security deposit through PayPal using the following link but please only do so NOT EARLIER than 30 days before your arrival:

Enter name of apartment

We rarely have damages but if something happens, we ask that you replace what becomes broken or damaged. Please contact us immediately should there be an issue.

The security deposit will also be applied to long distance telephone calls not included in the apartment's phone plan as well as the loss of keys and/or damage of locks.

Please do not leave keys in the back of the door inside the apartment. We will then need to call a locksmith to gain access and you will be resposinble for these charges.

Although our rates include cleaning after you depart, if the Paris vacation apartment is not left in a reasonably tidy state, we will apply part or all of your security deposit toward the extra cost of cleaning.

The amount of the security deposit shall in no way limit the tenant's financial responsibility for damage or deterioration made to the apartment during the tenant's stay.

Provided all is in order when you check out, your security deposit will graciously be returned to you within 14 days of your departure.
