The Area
Located in the prestigious "Villa des Platanes" complex, this historical monument built in 1896 was the home of,
among others, the muse of Alexandre Dumas.
The Villa des Platanes area seems to have movies that revolve around it.
One exit brings you directly to rue Lepic, made famous by "Amelie Poulain" (Amelie from Montmartre).
The other takes you to boulevard de Clichy, home to the "Moulin Rouge".
In fact, a famous Parisian director lives on the property as well.
Location
The apartment can be accessed from line 12's Abbesses or Pigalle metro stations or from line 2's Blanche station.
See us on a map.
Line 12 of the metro brings you directly to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge,
Concorde and its fantastic gardens, St-Germain-des-Pres and its writers,
Montparnasse and its artists.
Metro line 2 also brings you to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge. Additionally you
can discover Parc Monceau, made famous by a Monet painting, Charles de Gaulle/Etoile
and the Arc de Triomphe, Pere Lachaise and its celebrated cemetery.
Most of our guests, however, tend to walk around to explore the charm of the area.

When we purchased this apartment, the only major work that needed to be done was in the kitchen.
As always, we tried to think of things that we would like to have. The amount of appliances we could fit, given the size of the kitchen, is
impressive.
The refrigerator is shown on the far left photo. It has a door front that matches the cupboards. About the refrigerator is a microwave/regular
oven combination.
Beside this, there is a two burner stove top and a dishwasher underneath. There is also a combination washer/drier.
We hope that you won't spend all of your time in the kitchen though!
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and is located at the far end of the apartment.
There is also an armoire to put your clothes in.
When we decorated this apartment, we wanted to take into consideration the historic and ornate surrounds of the vast, private complex it is
located in.
This room, along with the second bedroom and living room, also has an original fireplace. Although it is in working order, we ask that you just
appreciate its beauty.
The guest bedroom is equipped with a double sized bed and is located directly beside the living room.
We have installed sliding doors between this bedroom and the salon to provide you with the utmost of privacy.
There is a large chest of drawers with a beautiful marble top that you may use to store your clothes. If you wish to hang things, we have a large
closet in the hallway, just outside the bedroom.
The hallway also has a large collection of books for your reading pleasure.
This is the view you will see when you look out the window. Each bedroom, as well as the living room has large windows and gives you the same view.
In addition, the salon (first picture on this page) is equipped with a permanent connection to the internet via cable.
The area, however, is best explored first hand. There are many restaurants, bars, cafés, market, etc., in the area.
The closest grocery store is a large convenience store located at the bottom of the street where rue Robert Planquette meets rue Lepic.
