Bedroom 1: Double Bed
As you walk through the gates to the quaint Cité Pilleux, leaving the bustle of the avenue behind you, take a moment to enjoy the long, narrow
courtyard and walkway, flanked on either side by flowers, plants, and artists’ studios.
Your peaceful studio is in a small building at the end of this courtyard, overlooking the quiet Montmartre cemetery and affording you a
panoramic view of the Montmartre hill and Sacre Coeur Cathedral.
Up 4 flights of stairs (sorry, no elevator, but the stairs are not too steep), you will notice the incredible light in the apartment as soon as
you walk in.
Hardwood floors and white paint give the apartment a clean, airy feel.
With a day bed that can serve as both a sofa and a single bed, and a comfortable double Murphy bed hidden behind a pair of beautiful antique wooden
doors, this romantic little flat feels surprisingly spacious.
You have ample room to store your clothes and belongings in the closet and cabinets along 2 walls of the apartment.
Plenty of towels and linens, as well as a fluffy duvet, will keep you comfortable and cozy.
The owner has managed to create an extremely efficient and well-outfitted kitchen along one wall, including a refrigerator with small freezer,
full oven, 4 high quality induction burners, and a traditional zinc countertop.
Take note of the tiles underfoot – each one has been laid individually and with care.
You have cooking implements and utensils, and we’ve even managed to provide your own Miele washer/dryer.
Here, you can enjoy Paris like a local, taking advantage of the market fresh ingredients available to you.
Against the far wall are two large windows that let in beautiful light and, if you like, plenty of fresh air.
Be sure to spend at least one evening in your apartment so that you catch a glimpse of the Parisian sunset reflected onto Sacre Coeur.
A small table under one window provides the perfect perch from which to take in the view while enjoying a meal – perhaps a morning croissant or
brioche from the wonderful boulangerie across the street – or just relaxing.
You can also use it as a desk for the laptop we’ve provided (or your own), as the apartment boasts a highspeed wireless network and a Macintosh
laptop computer.
In this apartment, even the shower has a view! A glass door makes the large walk-in shower feel even more roomy, and there is no need to worry
about privacy, as there are no buildings facing yours.
Enjoy the waterfall effect from the ‘rain’ showerhead suspended from the ceiling.
A small sink and mirror complete the shower area, while the separate and private WC is just inside the front door to the apartment, complete with
a reading library and original artwork.
* Please Note: the shower is not in a separate room, though it is tucked away around the corner with the door facing the exterior window, to allow
for more privacy within the apartment.
This romantic little flat is outfitted with everything you might need from your stay in Paris, and is the perfect home base from which to explore
this wonderful city.
