The Area

Situated in the 17th arrondisment of Paris, this is a diverse area made up of many small neighbourhoods. The apartment itself is on the rue de Levis with a permanent market taking up the first half of the street. You will find it hard to believe you are in a central Paris location when the small village atmosphere of real Paris as the Parisians know it greets you.

Location

The apartment is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and the beautiful Parc Monceau.

Metro Villiers, the closest station to the apartment, is a short ride to the Montmartre area with its Basilica Sacre Coeur, the shopping areas of the famous Le Printemps and Galleries Lafayette and the elegant shops in the surrounding Opera area.

With more and more people using the Eurostar from London, the convenience of this apartment cannot be lost on any visitors. Not only is the location excellent but it offers quick access to any of the many attractions in Paris.

It is also worth mentioning that if you are going to be working while in Paris, metro Villiers provides a direct route to the financial district of Paris.

This apartment is situated in the second half of Rue de Levis. The first part of the street is taken up predominately with a French market. It sells everything from fruit and vegetables through to DVD’s, books, linen, furniture and the latest in fashion at very reasonable prices. The second half, where the apartment is located, has less hustle and bustle of the market stalls. It has a wide range of boutiques with women and children's clothing having a monopoly- a testament to the number of families living in the area.

Halfway down the street, there is a square called Place du Levis which allows you the opportunity to sit and have a coffee or perhaps a glass of wine while watching Paris from a truly French perspective.

This first floor flat presents no problem after a long day seeing the many attractions Paris has to offer. With its tall French windows that open up to provide a view of the street below, you feel as if you are getting to know the authentic Paris.

This apartment has been completely refurbished so all of the furnishings and decor are modern and new. It is set to maximise the charm of what a Parisian apartment is like.

The living and dining room area has a four seater table that is perfect for enjoying your evening meal or a fresh croissant and café in the morning.

Beside the table is a flat screen LCD television with a built-in DVD player. There is also full cable service which includes a minimum of four English speaking channels to compliment the array of other channels offered.

The apartment has wireless broadband Internet access which can be beneficial when doing a last minute check on flights, checking up on work or staying in touch with people at home.

The room is complimented by a stylish sofa bed that matches the lined curtains. When closed, the curtains make this an extremely warm and cosy room to sit back and relax in.

The kitchen is very bright and easy to work in. It will make preparing a picnic or evening meal - made from ingredients direct from the market - a pleasure rather than a chore.

There are a lot of cupboards for storage and all the amenities you could need. You may even be inspired to try and repeat a recipe you tasted at one of the many surrounding restaurants in the area.

The bedroom has a double bed with a sumptuous duvet and numerous pillows. All of this will offer you a good night's sleep after your city adventures.

The next morning, when you are ready for another day out at one of the many sites, you can coordinate your outfit in front of the full length mirror that is centrally located in the bedroom.

At about 30 square metres overall, this apartment benefit from the built in wardrobes along one wall in the bedroom. They provide more than adequate storage for the linen and towels. There is also ample space for any clothing or belongings you wish to store while visiting.

The WC or toilet is situated off of the bedroom. It has a new shower fitted in to a newly tiled room with a large sink. The room is complimented with a chrome radiator which is ideal for toasting the soft white towels in autumn or winter.

There is adequate storage facilities for toilet bags and any other items you wish to store in the bathroom.

Whether you are visiting in the summer with both living room and bedroom windows wide open or in the winter with windows closed and curtains drawn, this apartment has charm to compliment any visit to the French Capital.
