The Area
Montmartre, the neighborhood around the apartment, is filled with cafés, markets, restaurants, quiet winding cobblestone streets, and many small parks and gardens.
It is home to the beautiful Sacré Coeur cathedral, Dalí museum, and famous Montmartre cemetery, and has recently been immortalized in the film "Amélie."
It is a relaxing place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of other areas of Paris. You can walk to the Place des Abbesses, just up the street, to sit and
watch the folks pass, or keep going down the rue des Abbesses to sit in one of the many classic Parisian cafés.
If you feel like doing some shopping, you can stop into one of the many boutiques in the area to browse.
Just a couple of blocks further is the rue Lépic (a 5 minute walk from the apartment), a market street home to food shops of all sorts: boulangeries, fromageries,
boucheries, charcuteries, vegetable stands, and more.
In another direction, you will reach the rue des Martyrs, home to many restaurants and food shops. Or, head up the hill - the Butte Montmartre - for quiet streets,
small cafés, and breathtaking panoramic views of the whole city.
Location
It is a wonderful neighborhood for those who would like to explore the vicinity around the apartment, as well as for those who would like to go around to other parts
of the city. You are located just steps from 2 different metro lines, and can easily travel in any direction.
We hope you will fall in love with the neighborhood as we have!
We have made arrangements with a chauffeur service to provide transportation from the airport to our apartments. They offer a discounted rate for
